Money Money Money

Our foster care topic for today is "Money" so we're going to refer back to the first post in our MythBuster series from last year. One of the most common myths about foster parents is that they are “doing it for the money.” The stipend provided to foster families for the children placed in their care is just that... money provided to care for those children. 

From clothes and shoes to sports camps, birthday parties, specific toys to support various therapies, and special activities, we’ve used this money in a variety of ways intended to allow children all the things they need to thrive. The idea of fostering to make money? Please believe me when I say that there are much easier ways to make money.
