May is National Foster Care Month
May 02, 2022
May is National Foster Care Month. Through this proclamation, the Office of Families and Children joins Governor DeWine and Lieutenant Governor Husted in recognizing May as Foster Care Month in Ohio.
This year, the theme is Relative and Kin Connections: Keeping Families Strong, highlighting the important role foster and kinship caregivers serve by supporting families and children. In 2021, parents and resource families working together made it possible for over 7,100 children and youth to be reunified with their families.
At MCJFS, we thank each and every one of our foster and kinship caregivers for the vital role they play in providing care for vulnerable kids on our community and in keeping families strong.
