We had beautiful weather for a fantastic event on Sunday afternoon. It was great to see such a large crowd come out to support such a wonderful and worthy cause.
MCJFS Director, Debbie Kiley, spoke on behalf of the agency to thank The Children's Center of Medina County for all the valuable work they do on a daily basis to serve and protect the children in our community.
It was so moving to hear the testimony of an abuse survivor, and then see the visual impact of the crowd bearing 696 blue pinwheels as they walked through town to the Medina Library. Each pinwheel represents a child who had an investigated case of abuse or neglect in Medina County during 2021.
Thank you to all who came out for this event and thank you to everyone who works to bring this difficult topic into the light and to help prevent child abuse in Medina County.
