We love to see kids helping kids!
Mikaela Faus and her 5th-grade class at Cloverleaf Elementary decided to hold their own toy drive for children in foster care this year. Organized by Cloverleaf Elementary Student Ambassadors (CESA), the class collected toys over a 2-week period. Look at what they collected - we lost count around 350 toys!
In addition to serving a need in the community, Miss Faus said her students had a lot of questions about foster care and it was an excellent learning experience for them.
Cloverleaf Elementary students, staff, and families - especially Miss Faus and her 5th grade class - thank you so much for all your hard work in learning about vulnerable kids in our community and taking action to brighten their holidays!
Missed our toy drive this weekend? Don’t worry, you can still participate! We need gifts and gift cards for our older kids and teens! Gifts can be mailed to 232 Northland Drive, Medina. Or call Layne at (330) 635-9165 to arrange delivery/pick up.
We will also be sharing the link to our Amazon list later this week where you can shop for items on children’s wish lists.
Want to help beyond the holidays? MCJFS needs families who are interested in working with older kids/teens and sibling groups. Contact us for more info at (330) 635-9165.
